152 Misunderstandings
Calantha and Henry stayed far behind Curtis and his group. Henry knew where his mom was, and Curtis was there to see her, so they didn't need to be too close—just get to the same destination.
Henry's mom was a supervisor and had her own office on the second floor of the factory, separate from the common workers' break area.
Curtis and his men took the elevator, but Calantha and Henry chose the stairs to better observe the personnel distribution.
If Curtis's men were guarding the elevator, Calantha would be caught immediately upon exiting.
But luckily, they weren’t there.
Henry was chubby, and the stairs were a struggle for him, but he didn't complain when Calantha chose this route.
He could have asked her why she chose to take the stairs even though there was an easier route, but he trusted her judgment.
