Calantha left in Adler’s car. After walking some distance, she remembered that Adler seemed to have come to meet someone else tonight.
"Adler, what about your friend?" Calantha asked worriedly. "Weren't you here to meet your friend? If we leave now, won't she blame you? You can just drop me off on the roadside, and I'll take a taxi home."
She said a bunch of words in one breath, and Adler didn't get a chance to interrupt.
After she finished, Adler said, "It's okay, I'll explain to her. And I just saw her a moment ago. I think you should know her."
"I know her?" Calantha tried to recall the people she knew, but she didn't know anyone named Isamia.
"Parker Fall," Adler said, "that's her current name."
"Oh!" Calantha understood. "Parker Fall is your friend, and she asked you to come here tonight?"
