CHAPTER 5 I MET A DEMIGOD

SABRINA POV I woke up to check the time, and I realized I was so late I had to dress up quickly and rush out of the house to see my new boss.    I got in as usual to see the ever-dutiful butler come to welcome me at the door just like he did yesterday, but this fine man of yesterday didn't come. Maybe he is busy. I didn't even realize I was making excuses for him before I went to start my daily work. Looking at the work load ahead, I had to look up at the roof like I was about to cry out in frustration. I know this is my job, but please, I'm so tired at the moment.   The little trip I had to the past the previous night weakened me already, and here I am still in this house with that maid hovering about. Does she think she's so smart that I can't see her?   I walked into the gym to clean it up only to see him standing with his back facing me, but he was in nothing but pants. My eyes stared as he stood in all his glory.   Holy Mary, mother of Jesus, wash my eyes because this felt like a sin I wasn't meant to be looking at.   His muscles were so perfect, and he was barefoot, which made me see the fine man who looked even better than most women in makeup.   He suddenly turned around and raised an eyebrow at me.   What did I do? Why was he watching me that way? It's creepy.   What's creepy? I was the one staring at him a second ago without blinking, yet he looked at me for less than a second, and he was the one who is creepy, not me, who has stood for almost three minutes to stare instead of doing my work.   "Did you call for me?" He asked, tapping something on his phone, and that's when I noticed the EarPods in his ear. This is the time I know I really am safe. He probably didn't hear me walk in; oh, that would have been embarrassing. How would I have explained myself? Hi,  I'm Sabrina, and I've been staring at your amazing body for almost five minutes now.   "No, I said nothing. I just entered now and was about to call your name." I made up a quick lie.    I couldn't risk leaving this job; the sight is too good to behold, and so is the pay. What else do I want, thank you, to just die here? Well,  not literally.   He looked down at me with his cold eyes, which made it seem like he could see my whole past and present in a second, and I was quite open to him. Should I cross my leg? It's starting to feel stuck.   I took a step back, and he nodded before parting his beautiful and pink lips.   Ah, stop falling for him; it can never be possible. A man as high as he is can't ever go for a lowly maid like you; get that into your head and know some peace.   "Have you eaten today?"    Ah, those words sounded so good in my head, and it seems my eardrums are shouting for joy, as they have never heard a voice that good. If he didn't look so rigid, I would have thought he was an actual gentleman.   "Yes, sir." Ah, another lie. If I said no, he might mock me instead of feeding me. I can't let my guard down around this man.   Suddenly, my stomach growled and my face flushed red as I stood at attention suddenly like a soldier about to go into battle.   "What did you eat?" His lips raised slightly as interest flashed in his eyes. Why was he looking at me that way? I know I'm a clown at this moment, but he didn't need to make it so obvious. Now it's making me more embarrassed.   What did I eat? I don't know because I didn't eat.   "Sa, lasagna" is another lie for today; I was really upping my lying game. I really wanted to say salad, but I didn't know why I changed my words.   "So you ate a food called salasanga?" he said, walking towards me, which wasn't expected.   "No, I ate lasagna, sir."   I thought he'd stop in front of me, but instead he made a motion with his hand, asking me to follow him.   "Go to the dining table. I'll tell the butler to serve you in a bit. You would eat your three meals here before leaving for home every day."   "You do not have to do that, sir." His face looked icy cold, but his heart is so soft. What a cute combination.   "It wasn't a request, it was an order."   Well, that's how that went, and now I'm so satisfied and full while cleaning the house with a smile on my face. Ah, it feels like I could work here forever and get free food for eternity. Who would want to miss it for the world? And the food was so good too, unlike anything I've cooked or eaten outside, not even like the ones back at home.   I kept smiling to myself while remembering everything that happened at the gym, and I entered his room to clean up. I'm sure he'd have gone to work by now. I couldn't help but admire the beautiful room, which was done with the finest black and gray I have ever seen in my life.   It felt like I entered a new dimension in the same house; everywhere on its own was already beautiful. Now talk less of this room that I entered. The guest rooms that were cleaned also looked fancy, but they all had different looks, like it depends on the visitors tastes that determine the look of the room.   I sang while swaying my hips in front of the floor-length mirror. Oh,  how lucky would the people who work with him be!   I didn't realize I was so tired till I decided to sit on the bed for a second, and before I knew it, I dozed off.   I felt a hash tap, which woke me up. I didn't understand what was going on or where I was until I saw the maid from earlier staring back at me.   "What do you think you are doing?" her high-pitched voice rang out as she dragged me to the living room, where the boss sat while holding a tab, looking busy.   "Stop." I tried to pull myself off her, but she didn't give me a chance, which made me more scared as I tried to free myself from her grip.   Finally, she left me when I was in front of the boss, her eyes glaring at me.   "Anything wrong?" Jared asked with his eyes sweeping across our faces.   "I found her sleeping comfortably on your bed, sir." Alero spoke with her nose high in the air, like she just shaved the best justice.   "I'm sorry, sir." I bowed deeply, expecting to be scolded.   "Sleep in the guest room next time and change my bedsheets before you leave."    "Yes, sir," and with that, he left Alero shocked.   She glared at me, about to leave, but I pulled her back.   "Where do you think you are going?"
