CHAPTER 57 REMEMBERING THE PAST

I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my black dress for what felt like the hundredth time. I couldn't believe it had been a year since my grandparents passed away. It felt like just yesterday I was sitting in the hospital, holding their hands and saying goodbye.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, trying to calm my nerves. I had to be strong today. I had to honor their memory. I thought about all the times they were there for me, all the sacrifices they made for our family.
As I made my way to the cemetery, I couldn't help but think about all the good times I had with my grandparents. I remembered the way my grandmother used to cook me my favorite meals, the way my grandfather used to tell me stories about his childhood. I remembered the way they used to make me laugh, the way they used to always be there for me.
