CHAPTER 149: Hurting Like Hell
SABRINA'S POV
The rain fell harder outside, streaking down the window as I stared out into the gray blur. Amber. Sebastian. Their names felt like shards of glass lodged deep in my chest, cutting deeper every time I breathed.
I couldn’t stop thinking about Amber, her smile that used to brighten the darkest days. She was the kind of person who could make you believe everything was going to be okay, even when the world was falling apart. But I couldn’t save her. I wasn’t enough. She had trusted me, believed in me, and I let her down. Now she was gone, and all that was left was the silence where her laughter used to be.
Sebastian was different. He was steady, like a rock, even if we weren't close. Or at least, that’s what I thought. The last time I saw him, there was something unspoken between us, something I was too afraid to acknowledge. Now I would never get the chance. I should’ve said something, should’ve told him how much he meant to me, but I didn’t. And now he’s gone too.
