Chapter 33

Ivan and I return to the mansion at around two in the morning. The guards are still patrolling of course but Valentino and Nico have long fallen asleep. The effects of pill haven’t completely worn off yet. I’m still laughing out loud for no reason. Ivan half-carry me up the stairs with his hand covering my mouth so I don’t wake up his brothers. We finally get to his bedroom and I slump on the sofa, suddenly feeling all the exhaustion I carried throughout the night. “God, I think I’m going to throw up.” As soon as the words are out of my mouth, I jump to my feet again and run to the bathroom. I kneel by the toilet and empty my guts heavily. Ivan comes in after me to hold my hair. I cough and spit with my throat burning so much that it brings tears to my eyes. “This is the last time I’m taking you to a party, doll.” Ivan chuckles from behind me. He helps me up when I’m done.
