As time passed, Janice noticed Edward crocheting way faster than she could. His hands stayed steady as he crocheted, and there was not a single clumsy mistake.
"Have you learned this before?" she asked, eyeing him.
"Nope," Edward said. "I just used to watch the seamstresses at work."
Janice smiled. "Your fingers are so quick."
Edward smirked. "I picked that up from watching you."
After he had finished a few practice patterns, maybe 30 or 40 stitches total, Janice leaned in to check his work. She couldn't deny it; Edward was a natural. He was more skilled than most of the beginners at her training institute.
Janice looked up and caught Edward watching her with a hopeful glint in his eyes. "Yes?" she asked.
"Aren't you going to compliment me?" he said.
