Chapter 27
Simon had been repeating the same condescending remarks for years that Janice felt she could recite them in her sleep.
In the past, she might have simply nodded, accepting his criticism and promising to work harder. But now, seeing the smug satisfaction on his face, she found him nothing but an eyesore.
Just as the event officials were preparing to step forward and congratulate the winners, Janice spoke up, her voice calm but crystal clear.
She said, "If a company is found purchasing high-level designs to compete, would that disqualify them from all competitions for the next year?"
The officials blinked, momentarily caught off guard, but one quickly nodded. "Yes, that's correct."
Janice turned to Simon, smiling gently.
At that exact moment, Edward returned to the hall, just in time to catch that very smile. His brows furrowed slightly.
"I formally accuse Refined Threads Co. of submitting a purchased crochet design for this competition," Janice declared.
