Chapter 27
Not wanting to waste words with him, Alyssa pulled out a check and shoved it into his hand.
"I've paid, and I'm taking the stuff."
Sebastian held the check, watching as she walked away without looking back. Then, he ordered, "Keep an eye on her."

Once Alyssa returned to Nettlewood Manor, she stood on the balcony, drinking one glass of wine after another.
She never had the habit of drinking until she went abroad. Whenever things got too hard to bear alone, she'd numb herself with alcohol. After her two kids were born and kept her company, she slowly kicked that bad habit. However, after seeing Sebastian that day, she just couldn't control herself.
