CHAPTER 72 OPENING UP
Jake, surprised at the look on his wife’s face, did a double-take. “Did I do something wrong?”
"I’m sorry, Jake, but what were you thinking? I'm not going back to sleep like this, and you're not okay."
"Look, I'm sorry if I woke you. I'm sorry about everything. Stop worrying about me. I can handle it," he said, his voice shaking.
"You've been saying that for two weeks now, and they've worsened each night. Jake, you need help."
"Samantha, I'm not sick, okay," Jake snapped, "I am fine. Just a couple of bad nightmares, so stop acting like I'm dying."
"You don't have to be sick to seek help. There's someone who can help you, my therapist; she'd be more than willing to help Jake. You need this."
"Don't tell me what I need!" He yelled in anger.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me?" Samantha yelled back. "I'm just trying to help you because I'm worried about you, Jake."
Jake froze, realizing what he had done, and then shook his head. "You're right; I’m sorry."
