When Samantha said what she said, Jake felt he might be dreaming or imagining things, so he did a double-take. "What did you say?" He asked mesmerized "I love you." Her eyes were closed, and it seemed she was sleeping, yet she wasn't. " Don't let go." Jake felt his heart stop, and for a minute, he thought he would die. He didn't know what to say or do, so he remained paralyzed until she opened her eyes and looked him in the eyes. " You can breathe now." She said in her amusement. Jake laughed heartily, a tear running down his cheeks. He knew she was drunk, but he didn't care because he also knew that it was her subconscious speaking, and we tend to speak the truth just when we are drunk. Sometimes, it's truths we don't even know ourselves. He kissed her, and she kissed him back. She possibly loved him, and Jake was ready to hold onto it with all his might.
