Camilla sat in a couch in her apartment, her mind racing. The previous days had been a series of investigations, tailing, and whispers. Tonight was the night they would all come together to share their findings. She picked up her phone and called each of the investigators: Jones, Cynthia, and Carrel. Their responses were quick and affirmative. “Let’s meet at that little place on Pine Street,” Camilla suggested, her voice steady. “We can’t risk running into Samantha, Jake, Sutton, or Gia.” The low-end restaurant she had in mind was the perfect spot – unremarkable, dimly lit, and out of the way. She knew it wouldn’t attract the likes of Samantha or Jake, who preferred more luxurious settings. Camilla arrived first, her sharp eyes scanning the restaurant as she entered. The walls were a dull, chipped green, adorned with faded pictures of pastoral scenes. She chose a corner booth, far from the entrance, where they could talk without being overheard. She wore a simple black dress, her ha
