Chapter 31 - It's Complicated

Jacob rubbed his face as he drove back to the pack house; it had been a long week. Between his days staying at the hospital to keep watch on Cassidy and trying to keep the pack protected from any threats, Jacob was exhausted. Today had not gone at all as he had planned when Cassidy finally awoke. He wanted to apologize for what she saw in his office; it was all a misunderstanding. He wanted to admit his feelings for her and how worried he had been about her this whole time. But Jacob never got a chance to say any of it, leaving him irritated and frustrated. He needed to blow off some steam. As he passed the security gate and pulled onto the pack land, he mind-linked Teddy and Raymond to see if they were up for some sparring.
