Jacob walked back into the office and handed Gavin back his phone. “What did you find out?” “Not much. The rescue team says the vehicle is too far down for them to send a team down, especially with how dark it gets in the ravine. I’m going to go up there and offer my assistance.” Natalie was biting her nails when she heard Jacob say he was going up there. She looked up and said, “I’m going with you.” Jacob shook his head. “It’s not safe up there. You should stay here. I will call you and keep you updated with what I find out.” “Look, one of the reasons Cass and I connect so well is because, growing up, we didn’t have a lot of family around. She’s all I got left. So don’t tell me to sit here and wait for you to call.” Natalie told him. Jacob lifted his hands in surrender. “Fine, we’ll take my SUV.” He told them as they all walked out together. Gavin muttered softly. “So, what’s the plan?” “I’ll tell you in the car. I want to get up there as quickly as possible.” Gavin smirked.
