Chapter 128 – Searching

Raymond groaned as he got out of his truck in the noisy city and headed toward the building that Jacob asked him to keep watch over. Jacob had some meetings that he needed to attend that were away, and he wanted to make sure he had someone he trusted watching over his mate. Raymond hated coming into the city; he always felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb. To be fair, he never attempted to try and blend in to look like the people around him. He was taller than most average men, with broad shoulders and muscles that filled out his long-sleeved shirt. He ran his hand through his short, dark hair before crossing the street toward the large building. As he walked toward the front entrance, his brows furrowed, and a look of concern crossed over his face. He took a deep breath, taking in all the smells that were surrounding him, and deciphered through them for a distinctive scent.
