Chapter 26 : Storming the Cantina
Murdered? I was caught off-guard, but it started to add up. The lack of photographs could be explained by such a traumatic event.
"I'm so sorry for your loss," I began, unsure how else to console him.
"I appreciate that, but it's okay." I could tell by his face that it wasn't. I thought maybe I should change the subject, but he continued before I could interrupt. "It was many years ago, but I've never truly gotten over it."
Which seemed weird because, from his exterior, you'd think he was some carefree billionaire who raced sports cars and had personal shoppers. He maintained a good mask.
"I can't even imagine," I sighed, heartbroken for him. I shifted my position on the loveseat towards him, both of our legs now under the cashmere blanket.
