Chapter 89
I sat in my car in front of Brandon’s apartment wondering if I was making the right decision. I wanted to get out but it was like an invisible force kept me in the car. Something kept screaming at me to turn back and go home but my desire for answers was greater than whatever that was and I dragged myself out of the car. I kept my phone by my side in case I needed someone to come get me quickly.
When I got to the front door, I raised my hands to knock but the door pulled open to reveal a bored-looking Brandon. “I thought you were going to sit in the car forever."
He stepped aside to let me in and I exhaled deeply before walking in. The house was exactly as I remembered except this time, he had set a bottle of water in front of the chair. I picked it up then remembered what happened with Liam and quickly put it back down.
“I don’t need to drug you to get you into my bed,” he drawled. “I did very fine on my own the last time. I have more convincing tools in my arsenal.”
