“Is anyone going to talk about what happened?” I asked after a full minute of silence. Ian made a sound deep in his throat then got into his car and drove off leaving Serena, Darius and I. I could see that Serena was trying her hardest to look anywhere but me and Darius had an annoyed expression on his face. I suddenly understood what was happening and I felt bad for Serena because she was caught between everything. “I’m taking Serena home,” I announced and I could see that Darius was about to complain but I shot him a hard look and dropped my voice to a whisper. “Go handle your best friend and your sister, I can handle my own.” He looked like he wanted to protest but at the last minute, he decided against it and got onto his bike leaving just Serena and I.
