Chapter 43

I was eager to meet Liam all day. I could barely sit still at home. I knew I had to figure out a way to leave the house without Grandma finding out because she would blow her rockets if she knew that I was going to see Liam. When I got back from Darius’ house, she told me that Darius had called her and informed her that I was not to leave the house. I wanted to march back to his house and knee him between his legs for that. He had no right to treat me like a child and when he did that, it only made me want to rebel more. By five, I was dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt but I had no idea how to leave. The sky was already turning dark and Liam had texted me the address. I knew the street and it was famous for rented houses for tourists. The number of tourists in Lunarius was very little so the street was almost always deserted and it was at the edge of the woods. I had almost given up on my idea to leave when Grandma came into my room to tell me that she needed to step out for a while.
