Naomi greeted Brendan as "Mr. Ludwig". Brendan fixed his eyes on her for a moment before glancing over at Maximus. After Naomi greeted him, Maximus and Brendan had a brief chat. Then, they went on with their respective appointments. After everyone took their seats in the private room, Brendan picked up a box of cigarettes from the table. He picked out a cigarette and put it between his lips. Then, he lowered his head and lit the cigarette. A moment later, he puffed out a thin cloud of smoke naturally. His gaze was cold and he gave off an air of frigidity. In fact, there was nothing between Naomi and Maximus. They were just a couple of friends having dinner together and chatting about work. Naomi drove her car home. When she got home, it was past 9:00 p.m., and she found Brendan's car stopped at the gate to the Goodwin residence once again. Naomi moved her right foot to the brake pedal and slowed her vehicle down. She simmered down completely when she saw Brendan. Ahead of
