Just as Brendan was about to call Naomi again, he received a call from Jason informing him that Chase and the others had arrived at the company. So, Brendan went upstairs, took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and headed to work. He knew Naomi was likely upset. However, he planned to go to South Lake and explain everything to her once he finished his current tasks. Brendan was preoccupied with work for the next few days. During this time, Sophia invited him to her newly-opened bookstore cafe, where they had a cup of coffee together. As for Brendan and Naomi, long periods without contact had become their norm.
