Avery's parents might have worried about her unkempt appearance, but Mason only seemed happy, giving her several kisses on the cheek while holding her in his arms.

After the embrace, Avery looked up at him. "You're really early."
Mason gently ruffled her hair. "I missed you."
With that, he popped open the trunk and began lifting out the gifts he had brought.
Avery stepped over to help, and Mason handed her the lightest boxes.
