Chapter 1828
As Avery chatted away, Mason started the engine.
Glancing at her, he said, "Honey, we're meeting your parents about marriage, but you're acting like you're keeping your distance. You won't let me drive you home, and you don't want to make your medicine at my place. You're not giving me a chance to show how sincere I am."
Mason's little complaint in that teasing tone made Avery laugh. She said sweetly, "Alright, alright, I'll let you keep picking me up and making my medicine at your place."
When she said that, Mason took her hand. "That's more like it."
As they drove, Mason said, "Tomorrow, when I meet your parents, I'll suggest arranging a meeting between our families. After that, we can get our marriage registered. The day after tomorrow, I'll take you to Yellowind Bay to check it out, and we'll pick out furniture together."
In the past, or under normal circumstances, Mason would have had the secretariat handle those details. He never took care of such errands personally.
