Chapter 1152
Cameron really hadn't wanted to send Emily home tonight, but he'd had no choice.
Emily lay on her bed and said, "Didn't we just see each other?"
They had spent last night together at South Bay Haven and had only gone to work at noon today.
"I miss you even though we've seen each other," Cameron replied.
Propping her head up with her hand, Emily smiled and said, "Soon, we'll be able to be together all the time."
On the other end of the call, Cameron sat at his desk and took a sip of water. "Have you talked to your parents about us getting married? Did they give you the birth certificate?"
The mention of that made Emily sigh, and her head started to ache. "I've told them, but it might be a bit more difficult than I expected."
Not wanting to upset him, she didn't go into details about how her parents had reacted.
"Oh? What makes it so difficult?" Cameron asked. He knew that convincing her parents to accept him might be a challenge, especially given his past reputation.
