Chapter 1103
Finally, Cameron said, "Let's have one last meal together."
"Okay," Emily agreed.
With that, Cameron started the car again.
Their final dinner was quiet and heavy. Both of them said very little.
By nine in the evening, Cameron had driven Emily back to her home. As she opened the car door to get out, Cameron, just like before, got out of the car as well.
This was the last time. After tonight, there would be no more opportunities to see her, no more chances to be this close.
They both knew this was it. After this, even though they both lived in Ashburgh, the chances of running into each other would be slim. The places Cameron frequented were places Emily would likely never go.
"Thank you," Emily said softly. "I'll head up now."
Just as she was about to turn and walk away, Cameron suddenly called out, "Emily."
She paused and looked back at him.
Their eyes met, and Cameron said, "Emily, don't forget me."
Emily was taken aback for a moment, then she nodded. "I won't."
