Recognizing that Cameron was acting coy, Emily squeezed his hand playfully. "My parents will get suspicious if I don't go home. I'll come up with a better excuse next time."
Emily refused his request for her to go back to South Bay Haven with him. With his right hand that was holding her hand, he held her by the back of her head. Without warning, he pulled her toward him and rested his forehead against hers.
