Before Genevieve could react, Tristan forcefully pulled her into his embrace.
His chest was hard.
She felt a sharp pain in her chest from the impact. She furrowed her brows and looked at him. "What are you doing?"
He didn't respond, his black eyes like deep pools as he stared at her intently.
She started to feel uneasy.
What was going on with him? Didn't he dislike her? Why was he so close to her now?
She tried to back away, struggling uncomfortably in his arms.
But Tristan's hand was firmly pressed against her back, not allowing her to move an inch.
Slowly, he leaned in, his breath getting closer as though he was going to kiss her.
Genevieve's breath became erratic.
In a panic, she averted her gaze and stammered, "M-Mr. Burtman, are you… mistaking me for Harper?"
Tristan's lips stopped just a few inches from hers. He furrowed his brows coldly and suddenly shoved her away.
"Get out!"
