Tristan opened the third bottle of beer.
Genevieve looked at him, frustrated. She was genuinely worried that he'd drink too much and spiral out of control later. If that happened, she was sure that he'd make her life miserable again.
She bit her lip and said softly, "Mr. Burtman, it's just a game. If you can't drink anymore, you don't have to."
Tristan glanced at her sideways before draining the bottle and giving her a dark look. "What? Do you think I can't handle it?"
Everyone nervously looked at Genevieve, afraid that she might upset him.
He had already lost three rounds in a row, and his mood was clearly at a low point, though he was trying to mask it.
Still, there was an unmistakable tension between Genevieve and Tristan that no one could ignore.
Genevieve immediately regretted speaking up. She quietly packed the dice into the cup and shook it for the fourth round.
