"Okay." Hannah quickly waved goodbye to Genevieve and left.
Genevieve was also about to leave when Herman called out, "Don't you want to check the construction site anymore?"
"Of course I do," Genevieve replied, her tone exasperated. "But after everything that had just happened, do you think our plan can still work? By now, Mr. Burtman is probably long gone."
"No, he's still here. He's upstairs with Ms. Taylor, helping her change clothes. We also have an in-house doctor, so it's nothing serious."
Genevieve pressed her lips together, not responding. Her mind kept replaying the icy, dagger-like glare that Tristan had given her earlier.
It made her doubt whether their plan could still work.
