Chapter 27
"How boring," Tristan muttered flatly.
Herman clicked his tongue and shook his head, his face full of disdain. "You're still as dull as ever. You're clearly expecting something, yet you pretend you don't care."
Tristan's gaze turned icy as his patience ran thin. But before he could snap, Herman raised a hand to stop him.
Herman said, "Fine. Keep pretending if you want. I can't be bothered to humor you. If it weren't for Mrs. Burtman Senior, you'd probably still be single for life."
Then, he leaned in closer and continued with a mischievous wink, "Come on. Be honest. Are you still a virgin?"
"Herman Swanson!"
A loud bang echoed from the conference room.
Ethan covered his forehead, exasperated. Herman was acceptable in most ways, except for his occasional bursts of madness.
