383: Turbulence at the Lab
Emma regarded the individual before her with a calm yet piercing gaze, her presence alone bringing a silent authority to the otherwise chaotic atmosphere of the research lab. The young man who had been brought before her seemed slightly defensive, the tension in his shoulders evident.
"Thank you for joining us," Emma started, her voice even but firm. "I've heard there was an argument here today involving you. I'd like to understand from your perspective what happened. This isn't an inquisition, but a chance to clear the air."
The young man, clearly nervous but trying to mask it, nodded hesitantly. "Yes, Ms. Emma. The argument... it wasn’t anything major, just a disagreement over the direction of our research. Some colleagues think I'm too aligned with Alex’s methods, that I might be leaking our findings to him."
