As they navigated through the bustling charity event, Emma glanced at Maxwell with a knowing look. The unusually large crowd, she realized, was here largely because of him.
"I thought you had realized, but it seems you haven't. All these people are here because of you, Maxwell," Emma said, half-amused and half-exasperated.
Maxwell, taken aback, scanned the crowd of eager faces. "Seriously? All these people are my fans? That's impossible. Our circle isn't that big, and everyone knows each other. Are you joking with me?"
"Why would I joke about something like this?" Emma responded, her tone serious. She had been hard at work lately and had unintentionally become a bridge connecting Maxwell to his fans. Many people had been asking about him, not out of curiosity but out of genuine concern.
