At the evening auction, Clara sat by the window with Aaron beside her, while Matthew looked distinctly displeased. Originally, Matthew was supposed to be next to Clara, but Aaron had barged in, placing himself between them. In contrast, Aaron wore a satisfied grin, thinking to himself, 'Finally, I get my chance to pay back for this morning's ice water.' "Hey, do you enjoy being a third wheel?" Matthew snapped. Aaron gave a mischievous smile. "How could that be? But are you sure you and Clara are a couple?" Nobody liked being a third wheel. Since Matthew hadn't won Clara over yet, even if Aaron was seated between them, he wasn't really a third wheel. Aaron was deliberately provoking Matthew. "Matthew, Ms. Edwards is willing to let me sit here, so you might as well calm down. By the way, I'd be more embarrassed if I were sitting next to you." Matthew simply closed his eyes, trying to ignore his irritation. 'How did I end up stuck with Aaron? This petty guy is getting back at me fo
