CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO :: THE CONDITION..

I was worried to my core seeing George react that way. His actions were unusual and surprising. I had to rethink for a few minutes to see if I'd done anything wrong in the last few minutes, but I couldn't find any.
My eyes fell on the letter he had thrown at me, and I stared at it for a few seconds.
“Charles...” I whispered. The name resonated with me, bringing to mind my college colleague, who had once shared his feelings with me before abruptly disappearing from school.
“Could it be Charles Finn?” I muttered, intending to satisfy my curiosity by opening the letter but remembering George's actions, I tossed it aside. Getting up from the bed, I slipped my feet into a pair of white flip-flops and headed out of the room.
Thanks to the adequate care and treatment I received at the hospital George transferred me to, my pain has significantly decreased. Even the stitched area near my eye ached only slightly.
