CHAPTER TWENTY: THE CONFRONTATION

I flashed a broad smile as we broke the kiss, causing our lips to make a cute sound. I stared at her in the eye, smiling broadly and she had to look away for a reason I'm not so sure of. Maybe because she was shy.
“Come on, let's go have breakfast,” she suddenly said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind her. We walked out of the room immediately, heading to the dining room.
This time, breakfast wasn’t a mess because it was just a simple toast and coffee, and after eating for some minutes, I grabbed my briefcase.
“Tomorrow is Saturday,'' she said, adjusting the tightness of my necktie, causing me to have a closer look at her face.
“You can't wait for the celebration at the office, right?” I said sarcastically, and she chuckled, hitting me gently on the chest.
“That hurts,” I pouted childishly, even though we both knew I was lying.
“Of course not; I'm not going. I told you already,” she said, looking elsewhere, and I chuckled.
