Turning to see a different Clement, looking hale and hearty, gave me the greatest shock I'd ever had.
“How.. where. how is this possible?” I stuttered, almost saying meaningless words. Immediately, I turned back to the bed, blinking my eyes repeatedly to be sure I wasn't seeing things.
I really wasn't!
The man on the bed was also Clement, but with closed eyes.
If I weren't the type who doesn't believe ghosts exist, I would have concluded that he was a ghost.
Besides, he touched me; Ghosts can't touch humans, right?
“George, It's me. I'm fine,” I heard Clement say behind me. The voice was very familiar, and it belonged to no one but Clement.
I turned back to him, and he smiled.
“I wasn't the one injected, and I'm not the one on the bed,” he said, and I scoffed, feeling so confused.
“You never told me you have a twin," I found myself saying, and he chuckled.
“A twin?.." he questioned back, causing my brows to furrow on their own.
