CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-FIVE : PAINFUL MEMORIES

The next morning dawned unexpectedly, and I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings.
My eyes widened as I realized I couldn't return to the hospital Ellen was in yesterday. I'd actually intended on returning to the hospital last evening but ended up sleeping till the next morning.
Surprisingly, I was in my bed.
All I remember doing was falling heavily on the couch after drinking myself to a stupor yesterday. The maids had probably helped me into the room.
It's quite amazing that despite the fact that I left Standstern some time ago for the therapy centre in the States, none of my workers agreed to leave. They chose to remain in the house and expect my return.
I felt a very throbbing headache in my head, and my whole body felt like lead; although a wave of dizziness tried to overwhelm me and force me back to the pillow, I tried to sit up.
Oh heavens. I exhaled, rubbing my eye weakly. My mind was so foggy and cloudy.
I felt so emotionally down.
