“Hey mahmah”
Those were my words to Ellen as I walked into the house with a bright smile.
I saw her lift her head slowly and raise her eyes to lock eyes with me, removing the eyeglasses she was reading a magazine through.
“George?” she called in a surprising tone and I leaned in slowly, pecking her on both cheeks while her surprised gaze remained on me.
“Yes?” I replied with an expression that made it seem like I was ignorant of her actions' reason.
“Is this really you?” she said surprisingly and I breathed, sitting on the couch.
“Yeah, it's your younger brother... I guess” I shrugged, dropping the bag I was holding on the center table.
“I'm surprised. You left home this morning with your usual sad expression and bothered by the fact that the kids may possibly be yours and at the same time, quite disappointed that Mae could have lied to you" she said and I sighed, resting my back on the couch..
