Chapter 4

There is no way to continue listening to her daughter’s crying, so she cruelly yelled to the person on the other end of the phone, "I won't go back tonight. Please coax her!" Then she directly hung up the phone. She hung up the phone, dropped her phone, sat on the sofa and bit her lip to suppress her emotions, but her tears kept on pouring. Xia on the side looked at her, raised her hand and gently held her hand. "If you want to cry, cry out loud." As a mother, Xia has a deep understanding of this feeling of separation from children. Xia thought that Giselle would continue to cry, but she raised her hand and wiped the tears from her face, then curled up her mouth in the tears and laughed. "If I don't cry, I won't cry. Ending this marriage is a relief for me. Why should I cry?" Her tone sounds stubborn. "I won't shed a single tear about this in the future. The reason why I feel uncomfortable is because of Nery. However, this pain will end tonight. I have already expected this." Xia looked at her resolutely and sighed helplessly. "You are really free and easy. I came out of this matter for almost a year, and it was only recently that I let go of it." After Xia learned that her ex-husband had an affair with such an unbearable woman, she fainted on the spot without coming up, and after waking up, she suffered a mental breakdown and rushed to the top of the building and almost jumped off the stairs. But now Giselle abandons this five-year marriage in such a few words, so Xia admires her free and easy and decisive. But Xia didn't know that it was because her heart was completely broken and she no longer had any hopes for this marriage, so she was so free and easy. As soon as Xia's words finished, Giselle's cell phone rang again, and what was flashing on the screen was James's name. Giselle directly pressed the hang up button, turned off the phone by the way, got up and said to Xia who was still sitting there, "Let me use your bathroom to take a shower and lend me some clothes to wear." Then she got up and left. Xia glanced at her phone that has been turned off. She had a general understanding of her decision to divorce and didn't say anything, so she just got up and went to the bedroom to find clothes for her to wear. Leaving is so hard and depressing after being together for a long time. Why should she bother to continue? Giselle and James have only been married for five years. The relationship between her and her ex-husband Samuel was broken after ten years. Giselle took a bath and changed the pajamas that Xia found for her. Her whole body felt much more refreshed and her sanity became clearer. Xia also brought her a new set of clothes, "I just bought this a few days ago. You can wear it first. It’s cheap." Giselle took it and smiled lightly. "How can I dislike it? I have nothing now." A family of scholars. An Earth-shattering crying came from the children’s room, "I want mom, I want mom—" Standing next to the pink children's bed, James, with blue faced disheveled clothes, was holding his cell phone and dialing Giselle's number over and over again, but there was no answer. James’s clothes were disheveled because he had just returned from picking her daughter up from the dinner party. He took their daughter who was still asleep and put her down in the room, and then went directly to the bathroom to take a bath. After a while, he heard his daughter’s howling loudly. He had no choice but to wipe his clothes hurriedly and ran out. He has never had the experience of taking care of his daughter alone. Since their daughter was born, Giselle has done everything by herself, while he has to socialize and come back late every night. Their daughter is already asleep when he returns from work. After dinner, he usually goes to the study room to work or be away from home on a busy business trip. They have little parent-child time and he has no experience in taking care of children at all, so he feels stressed now. At first, he patiently calmed down a few words, but after waiting for the woman to return, his patience would worn out even his daughter was still crying. He was stunned by the woman just now at the dinner party, and now he is back home and his daughter is making trouble again. No one can imagine how angry he is. The closest contact he has with his daughter is that when he goes to work, she will stand at the door and smile and say goodbye to him or greet him when he’s back, Other than that, there’s no other close contact. Many times, he instinctively does not go to be closed with his daughter, and instinctively does not look carefully at her daughter's bright and lovely face, because she is really like the Giselle that he first met a few years ago. Not only they’re alike, but she also looks like her when she smiles and cheerful. He don't know where they have so much good mood all day long, or where they have all the vitality. Anyway, when he sees them, he always feel that his eyes will be burned by their bright smiles. He didn't like their mother and daughter in this way, so he refused to interact and respond with them. However, it seems that some people have not laughed so much in recent years, and have not been so bright. She is silent and sometimes he will forget her existence.
