After what felt like forever, we parted and Xander decided that he would wait for me to finish my work and then we both would go back home together.
At first, I rejected his offer but he told me that he knew that I needed him and what kind of a mate he would be if he left his mate all by herself while she was grieving and grappling with the reality of the situation.
Even though it was just a small gesture, it meant a lot to me.
I agreed to him and then after lunch, I decided I was good to go.
