Bethany looked at Trystan for help, but he lightly shook his head. Left with no choice, Bethany extended her hand.
"Grandpa, I'm really okay. It'll recover soon."
George's hands were so skinny that his bones were almost visible. His hands had age spots on them, but his palms were warm.
He lightly touched Bethany's fingers and looked up. "Child, can you still paint with this injury?"
Bethany's heart dropped. She lowered her gaze and lied with a smile, "Yes. It'll be possible soon."
George said to Trystan, "Tell me the truth."
"If she doesn't receive treatment, she can never paint with her right hand again," Trystan said calmly.
"Trystan!" Bethany glared at him, then looked at George. To no surprise, George looked upset. "Grandpa, Trystan is lying. My hand is fine. I'll get it treated."
Bethany didn't want George to be worried about her.
George sighed deeply, then looked at the two sternly. "What happened between you two?"
Bethany stood next to Trystan in silence.
