"It's over. There's no immediate life threat." Frank pointed to the office behind him. "The doctor is inside. You can ask him whatever you want." But Trystan turned to leave. "I need to see Bethany first. Which room is she in?" Thinking about Bethany losing so much blood made his heart pound. He wanted to see her and confirm she was okay. Frank grabbed his arm. "She is still in the ICU. You can't see her. Ask the doctor if you want to know anything." Trystan felt something was off. "Go on." Frank knocked on the door and pushed Trystan inside. Trystan looked suspicious but decided to ask for clarification first. "Hello, doctor. How's the patient who was treated? Is she out of danger?" "Are you her husband?" The doctor didn't look up and sounded annoyed. "Or rather, her soon-to-be ex-husband?" Trystan frowned in displeasure. "How is the patient?" The doctor scoffed, "Your belated concern is worthless.
