Chapter 158
Bianca stared at Frank, her mouth agape, but ultimately remained silent. Instead, she shot Bethany a piercing glare before opening the door and storming out.
Frank lowered his head slightly. "Do you need me to accompany you?"
"No need. Thank you." Bethany exhaled, feeling a rush of relief. The last thing she wanted was to get into an argument with Bianca outside the ward.
Knowing George, it would only make him more upset. She warmly smiled at Frank, expressing her heartfelt gratitude.
"Don't be afraid. I'm right here at the door, and I'm not going anywhere," said Frank reassuringly. He closed the door and stood guard.
Bethany was once again deeply moved. George woke up, calling out, "Beth? Are you here?"
Bethany turned toward him, tears streaming down her face. "Grandpa! How are you feeling?"
"Why are you crying, silly? I'm fine." George struggled to raise his hand to comfort Bethany.
Bethany quickly leaned over and said, "Grandpa, about yesterday's medicine…"
