Samuel never quite liked Serene, and at this moment, angered by Bethany, he had no desire to see her.
Waving his hand dismissively, he ushered her away. "That's enough, you can leave now. Tina needs rest, and you needn't come back."

"Dad, I'll walk Aunt Serene out," Megan said, following Serene out.
Once in the hallway, they began to talk.
"Meg, do you think your mom will wake up?" Serene asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Megan huffed. "I wish she'd just die."

Deep down, Serene felt a glimmer of satisfaction. She whispered, "I have some good news for you. Bianca contacted me. She mentioned Trystan's intention to divorce Bethany."
"Really?" Megan's eyes widened in disbelief. It seemed Bianca had finally fully accepted her.
Yet, she still had doubts. "But… that old man wouldn't approve Trystan to marry me."
"So what?" Serene stared intently. "All that matters is that Bianca and Trystan agree."
