Chapter 109
"Either we play together, or no one plays at all," Trystan stated.
Feeling helpless, Bethany had to pick a different game and play with Trystan. Despite his lack of skill, his assertiveness often sparked disagreements between them.
George felt a sense of relief as he listened to their arguments. Trystan's behavior made him seem more human. He believed that Bethany was the one who kept Trystan grounded.
As noon approached, the responsibility of cooking naturally fell to Bethany. She quickly lit the stove and prepared three delicious plates of spaghetti.
Even though Trystan wasn't usually interested in food, he couldn't ignore the delicious aroma of the spaghetti, especially with George showering Bethany with excessive praise.
"Wow, this smells amazing! Beth, you're incredibly talented. It's got everything—color, aroma, taste. It's even better than what a top chef could make.
"How could you be this wonderful? I could devour three plates of this," George exclaimed enthusiastically.
