Chapter 1091
Although Bethany was reluctant to leave, she knew she couldn't be willful. If she left, Trystan might be able to get some rest.
She took one last deep look at Trystan before following the doctor out of the room.
"Are you okay?"
By this time, Jenny and Mateo had both woken up. They saw that Bethany looked very pale.
Bethany shook her head, wanting to say she was fine but unable to get the words out.
"Sit down for a bit." Jenny helped her to a seat.
Bethany slumped into the chair, feeling drained. Her mind kept wandering back to the image of Trystan lying in the hospital bed, making it hard for her to breathe.
Time passed slowly. Eventually, as the first light of day appeared, Bianca and the others arrived.
"Mom, Beth came over last night and stayed up here all night," Frank spoke up for Bethany.
Bianca's expression changed slightly, but she didn't say anything in the end.
Just then, a nurse rushed out of the ICU. "Is there a family member here for Trystan Lawson?"
