Chapter 1020
Bethany observed Noah as he walked off, his posture devoid of energy and purpose.
She hesitated before calling out, "Wait for the good news, Noah. I won't give up, and I hope you won't either!"
Noah paused but didn't look back. In the end, he continued on his way.
Bethany's thoughts tangled. At first, her anger pushed her to demand Robert face justice, believing he deserved nothing less than the harshest penalty.
But she second-guessed it all after seeing Noah. What would happen if people knew what he'd been through? Would people judge him harshly?
Though their interaction had been brief, Bethany's heart ached for Noah. His words spoke volumes—he had fought, but it had all been in vain.
She slowly walked out of Sunville University. The campus hadn't changed much over the years, with students bustling by and full of life. But Noah's demeanor stuck with her, and her hatred for Robert grew.
She could tell Noah wanted justice, but there were other considerations she couldn't ignore.
