CHAPTER 239: THE WORST-CASE SCENARIO
"Good morning, Mr. Charlie," Sarah greeted as the doorman held the door open for her.
"Great morning, Miss," the older gentleman replied with a crooked smile.
She gave him a small nod as she matched towards the elevator," Don't worry, I can see myself up." She muttered when he made to follow her, and with that, she hit the button, waited, then stepped in.
The ride up was filled with sweet fluttering and barely concealed excitement. For the first time in her life, she was truly in love, and it was the most magical thing ever.
Sarah had always told herself she'd be the perfect girlfriend, and this was her time to shine. She bit her bottom lip gently as the ascending movement stopped. As she walked towards Martin's door, she was already flipping through all the things she wanted them to discuss.
A door suddenly opened, and a woman who looked like she had emptied three boxes of red hair dye on her curls stepped out and gave her a silent once over as she smacked loudly on her gum.
