CHAPTER 237: ALL FOR NOTHING
The fair had come to a disheartening close. Victoria stood among the remnants of their booth; her face flushed with exhaustion.
Laura, who had attended the fair as a guest of one of the judges, was reveling in the moment. She stood at the edge of the crowd; a wide smirk plastered on her face as she watched the final disassembly of Victoria's booth. Her laughter cut through the tension like a knife.
