Harry's hands clenched with excitement. "Who were you treating?"
Victoria's gaze drifted away from him, lost in childhood memories. "A little boy," she said nostalgically. "I've actually forgotten what he looked like. My mom said he was very handsome, but he couldn't hear. An explosion deafened him. My dad told me he was a kidnapped child, and when no parents came to pick him up, he brought him home."
Her voice softened. "The little boy couldn’t hear or speak; he just stared blankly. I wanted to become a doctor to treat his ears so we could play together. But when I came back from summer camp, he had already been taken away by his family. I even bought him a gift but never got to give it to him."
Harry leaned in; his curiosity piqued. "What gift was it?"
"A new pocket watch," Victoria replied with a smile, her eyes glistening. "My mom told me that time heals all wounds, so I gave him my old pocket watch. But it was too old, so I saved up to buy a new one. By the time I got it, he w
